I am a conservative, newlywed guy living in Selma, North Carolina with my wife, step-son, mother-in-law, two cats, three parakeets, one crazy dog named Daisy, and one goofball of a pup I call Slime Dog. I have a background in radio broadcasting, fire protection, and some technical/computer experience. I currently am employed as a Technical Services Coordinator at the world's largest media and entertainment company (company policy is that I should not mention the name).

I blog regularly at troylaplante.com. I also write a weekly column called LaPlante's Rants for my hometown newspaper, The Selma News in Selma, North Carolina. Each column gets published weekly in my LaPlante's Rants blog.
